Girl Power

In my opinion, some of the best Korean girlgroups are:

1. Mamamoo

Why: because the music they bring is not usual and it is still very easy listening. Try listen to Mr. Ambiguous or Peppermint Chocolate (with K.Will, featuring Wheesung). My personal favorite is Don't Be Happy (with Bumkey). This is the first Mamamoo's song I listened to, and they amazed me.

2. Kiss&Cry

Why: because of the powerful vocals they bring with good music. Domino Game is their debut, they all looked pretty in this music video and their live performances are so damn good. But I heard some bad news that this group is disbanded, I don't know if it's just a rumor. I will truly sad if this happen.

3, Ladies' Code

Why: because of the unique music, vocal, and concept! Ever since Pretty Pretty, I always pay attention to this group because I like their unusual concept for girl group. This month has been hard for Ladies' Code fans because of the accident, and I would like you to hear the latest single from them.

4. SPICA

Why: because they all have amazing vocal and talent! I first recognize them from Tonight MV, which catch my attention the moment I hear the song. After that they released You Don't Love Me, a vintage-feels MV with powerful vocal.

There are many other girlgroups out there that catch my attention such as EvoL (their debut song "We Are A Bit Different"), EXID (for "Every Night" and "Up and Down"), GLAM (I really like "I Like That"), D-Unit ("Luv Me"), but those top-four are my all-time favorites! I really anticipated their comeback!

By the way, try to search Royal Pirates. They're good!

Falling in Love

Saya kepincut member BTS yang namanya Jin, nih... dia seumuran sama saya (92line) dan dia suka pink.
Ini gara-gara saya nonton MV Boy In Luv yang dance version. Seperti biasa saya terpikat wajahnya yang ganteng - saya emang menilai dari wajah.

Oh ya, saya suka banget sama girl group yang baru debut ini, Kiss&Cry. Great songs. Vokalnya juga kuat banget. Suaranya bagus-bagus, cantik-cantik pula.

Semoga mereka semakin bersinar di masa depan!

Satu lagi yang saya suka akhir-akhir ini Ladies' Code. Mereka punya style yang lumayan beda dari girl group lain. Saya nggak ngikutin dari awal debutnya, tapi sejak dengerin Pretty Pretty saya jadi suka!

Umm, lagunya B1A4 yang Lonely juga bagus.

It's Time For Bands - Not Idol Groups!

Akhir-akhir ini gue sangat-sangat tertarik pada grup-grup Korea lain selain boygroup dan girlgroup. Yeah, Korea nggak cuma punya boygrup dan girlgroup, tahu.

Beberapa dari mereka sangat potensial untuk menggeser posisi idol (boy  & girl groups) di chart-chart acara musik, dan (mungkin) menggeser idol dari hati pada penggemar KPop. Yang dijual: musik yang beda, suara vokalis yang beda, tampang yang menarik, dan tentu aja, skill musik yang keren!

Yang pertama, Nell. Ini adalah sebuah band besutan WOOLLIM entertainment, seniornya INFINITE. Suara yang khas, melodi yang dalam... they got everything. Terutama di lagu The Day Before, lagunya sedih, suara biolanya menyayat hati, bikin pengen nangis. Coba dengarkan lagu dan lihat MVnya disini:

Kedua, Busker Busker. Gue baru tahu kalau mereka ini jebolan Superstar K3. Lagunya, If You Really Love Me, menarik minat gue karena (lagi-lagi!) suara vokalisnya khas dan musiknya easy listening. Basisnya juga cute, hehehehe. Lihat video mereka disini:

Ketiga, Lunafly. Gara-gara allkpop (yang, membuat artikel tentang rookie-rookie baru yang bagus), gue jadi mencari-cari mereka di YouTube dan ketika menemukan MVnya, gue langsung jatuh cinta pada band ini. Musiknya easy listening banget! Gue juga langsung pengen ngelamar Yun, maknae kelahiran 94-nya. Suaranya dalem, skill gitarnya oke. Dengerin mereka disini, tapi jangan suka sama Yun! ><

Keempat, Toxic. Masih baru banget, baru debut. Ada dua orang pemegang instrumen, dan dua-duanya juga nyanyi. Lagunya keren! Band rock dengan musik elektro-elektro gitu – mbuh lah apa namanya, nggak ngerti genre. Karena gue denger lagu mereka sehabis nonton dramanya L (Shut Up Flower Boy Band) gue langsung inget cerita dramanya. Oke nggak ada hubungan. Lihat aja dua cowok ini disini:

Lately I’ve been listening to Baek Ah Yeon’s debut album, she has a great voice! And most of the songs are easy-listening, and have a sweet melody.

About Andamiro, her latest album is dae to the bak. Daebak! Her songs aren’t the same as the other Kpop artists. I think her music is inspired by European music. Go find her music video on YouTube! There are Hypnotize in English version, too!

I heard (and I read) Epik High is gonna have a comeback soon! Can’t wait so long! I’ve been wondering whether they will comeback as three member or not. The main reason why I’m waiting for this group to comeback is, Epik High was signed under Woolliment before... they were Infinite’s hyungs. Now they are going to comeback under YGent. Well... I wish the best for them! Epik High fighting!

And I’ve been searching like crazy for theme song of Kim Jong Kook and Han Ji Min in Running Man 106, and the theme song of Joon Hee and Yoon Jae in Reply 1997 when they first met at class. This song came again in Running Man 111, and I was getting frustated about this song. I Googled some of the lyrics I could heard from the show, and I finally found the song! It is on my list, number 5, Chau Chau by Deli Spice. As I predicted after hearing this song from Reply 1997 (which is, telling a story back to 90’s), this is an old song. This song, if I’m not mistaken, came out in 1995. Whew, at that time, I was just a 3-years-old girl...
